These drawings are displayed courtesy of Dave Edwards.
Many thanks Dave for sharing your wonderful drawings.
Dave's drawings are constructed in pen & ink and take about ten hours to complete as mistakes can't easily be rectified. They are printed and the prints sold at the Woodhorn Colliery Museum, Blyth Bus Station, and the Waterloo Newsagents opposite the Prince of Wales pub on Waterloo Road, Blyth. Northumberland.
They have been selling for £1 each since 1989 - and are still £1. If you are interested in buying any of Dave's prints please contact him.

Dave has never been down a pit but he has a background of mining folk.
Dave's Father worked at Bates pit for a while and his maternal grandfather worked at Crofton Pit. His great grandfather was a miner for a while and his great great grandfather was a miner at Earsdon, New York & Benton Square.
At present Dave is collecting pictures and documents of old Blyth to put on CD. He is not selling them, he merely gives them to friends and relatives. He like's the concept of spreading pictures around so that in a hundred years time there will still be views for people to get nostalgic over. He has over 350 so far. If anyone can scan some old pictures/documents with permission to copy them Dave would be delighted to hear from them. He includes the names of all those who have donated pictures.
