Even on holiday in the beautiful island of Tenerife it's impossible to escape from my internet hobby. When I visited Los Cristianos I called in at The Miners Retreat, it's a pub run by an ex-deputy from Bilsthorpe in Nottinghamshire. I remembered to take my camera this time and I was allowed to take a few pictures.
Inside the pub there are loads of mining plates, pictures and other pieces of mining memorabilia, if you're ever in Tenerife it's definitely worth a visit, and the beers good as well.
